With so many things changing over the past century, it is a rare achievement for an organization to reach a 108-year milestone.
As we continue today what Brother Pat Withrow began in 1911, Union Mission has striven to meet the pressing needs of those suffering. No longer is our orphanage viable due to current state regulations, even though thousands of West Virginia children are in foster care. No longer is alcoholism and gambling the main sources of addiction issues even though people are still struggling.
Today at the forefront, we are battling the scourge of an opioid and drug addiction crisis affecting thousands of our friends and family.
To combat this crisis, Union Mission will be launching a Behavioral Health Center in the coming months. As this crisis looms over our state, we are excited to reach more people with a broader range of services.
The goal of the BHC is to provide high quality addiction recovery services to those struggling with the disease of addiction and those affected by it. Union Mission BHC will be the premier provider of quality addiction recovery services and will improve the total well-being of individuals and families through investment in our employees, patients, and communities.
We continue to be committed to helping the hurting while maintaining the foundation of the gospel and the vision given to Brother Pat Withrow over a century ago to help those like himself.
Please join us in celebrating 108 years of God’s miraculous work here in West Virginia as we look ahead towards the future and fulfilling God’s wonderful plan.
