Union Mission’s Addiction Recovery Program focuses on a 3-tier recovery model. The program addresses the mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing of each of our residents. During the first part of treatment, residents receive quality behavioral heath services, access to a full gym, and Biblical life skills classes. The men and women in the program are given the opportunity to engage in the healing process and work to rebuild their lives on firmer foundations.
Occasionally, some men and women in the program seek to rebuild their lives on the firmest of foundations. Last month, Michael, Christopher, Mike, and James decided to express their commitment to Christ and were baptized at Kingdom Life Fellowship Church. Pastor BJ Roberts performed the baptism for all four of these men.
“It is exciting to see these four men make progress in their recovery process,” says Lindsay Stephens, Director of Addiction Recovery Services at Union Mission. “Their decision of faith, however, is extremely powerful and energizes the entire staff.”
Please pray that these four men can grow in their faith and continue to show progress in their recovery efforts. Please also pray that their decision will spread like wild-fire through every other resident in the recovery program who has not put their faith in Christ.
Did you know that the Union Mission Addiction Recovery program is certified by the WV Alliance of Recovery Residences (WVARR) to house up to 48 people (24 for men and 24 for women)? Funding is one of the biggest obstacles that keeps us from reaching that capacity. Please consider helping on a monthly basis to fund addiction recovery.
