The summer months have always been a low giving period for Union Mission. We understand families are busy with school graduations, vacation planning is in full swing, and the laid back opportunities of summer are on everyone’s mind. Homelessness, hunger, and addiction aren’t the first thing you think of when your thoughts turn to summer.
At Union Mission, we still have a need every month for those battling homelessness, hunger, and addiction. Men and women in our programs still need to be fed, clothed, and given shelter as they work to rebuild their lives and turn away from destructive lifestyles. The need is great all year long.
We usually don’t experience a large drop in giving until the summer months of June and July. Unfortunately, this year, we are seeing the decline show up already in May. PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING TO UNION MISSION’S GENERAL FUND so we can continue to provide for all of our programs. This unseasonably hot month has put more of a strain on our utility budget as well.
