Holiday Report Card 2016

We are very thankful for the tremendous blessings God has bestowed on the mission and those we serve. As the holiday season approached, we weren’t sure how God was going to accomplish
everything we had hoped to do, but He did through you and others!

Holiday Food Giveaways Stats:
Families Served at Thanksgiving ………………3,991
Families Served at Christmas……………………3,772
Decisions for Christ ……………………………………210

Union Mission’s Outreach ministry began in 1991. Over these 25 years it has grown to become the largest food distribution agent in the state. Although food is given away throughout the year,
November and December are always special as we try to provide even more food at our holiday distributions.

This year’s distributions were a tremendous success with over 6,433 families receiving enough food to sustain them for several days. We are especially thankful for the 210 individuals who made personal commitments of faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Food was received for the body and the soul! Many thanks to the hundreds of volunteers who helped collect, sort, load and distribute the food! We couldn’t do what we do with you!

Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinner Stats:
Thanksgiving Meals Served ……………………….550
Christmas Meals Served …………………………….498

On the day before Thanksgiving and Christmas, we hold our annual dinners for the Charleston homeless. For each of these days, the mission’s kitchen staff prepares a wonderful hot holiday
